Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

The Cleveland Cavaliers keep losing and keep falling in the NBA power rankings.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have now dropped six straight games to fall to 2-8 and have lost star point guard Kyrie Irving for a month with a broken finger. As a result of their struggles they continue to plummet down the various NBA power rankings from around the web, often only ahead of the winless Washington Wizards.

In Seth Rosenthal's power rankings at SB Nation the Cavs are the No. 28, which is tied for the highest ranking they received in any power ranking. The Cavs are also ranked 28th in John Schuhmann's power rankings at NBA.com and Kurt Helin's rankings at Pro Basketball Talk. In Marc Stein's rankings at ESPN and Sam Amico's rankings at Fox Sports, Cleveland is ranked No. 29.

With Kyrie Irving now out for a month one would expect things to continue to get worse for the Cavs, who haven't gotten production from anyone outside of Irving and Anderson Varejao for most of the season.
