NBA scores: Cavaliers beat Hawks, Lakers dominate Nuggets

Cleveland ended Atlanta's six-game winning streak on Friday.

Anderson Varejao had 20 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to a 113-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. The loss ended Atlanta's six-game winning streak and the win snapped Cleveland's four-game losing streak.

Jeremy Pargo and Dion Waiters had 22 and 21 points respectively for Cleveland. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 25 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals.

The Lakers recovered from a poor loss against the Indiana Pacers, 79-77, on Nov. 27 to dominate the Denver Nuggets, 122-103 on Friday. Dwight Howard led the Lakers with 28 points, 20 rebounds and three blocks.
