The Cleveland Cavaliers won in their return on Wednesday, beating the Washington Wizards.

The Cleveland Cavaliers returned to action on Wednesday, and they ended up victorious against the Washington Wizards. Kyrie Irving scored 26 points and had eight assists, while Tristan Thompson brought down 12 rebounds en route to the 87-84 victory that put the Cavs at 7-23 on the season, and dropped the Wizards to 3-23 on the season.

There were no NBA games on Monday, Dec. 24, and only 10 teams were in action on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, of particular note is the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers moved to .500 on the season with a victory over the New York Knicks. On Wednesday, 26 teams were in action, including the aforementioned Cavs. The Miami Heat won anther game, the Atlanta Hawks put up 126 points on the Pistons and the San Antonio Spurs picked up their 22nd win of the season.

It wasn't quite a full slate of action as usual for the beginning of the week, but there was plenty to note.
