Cavs roster moves: Jon Leuer sent to D-League Canton

The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned Jon Leuer to the D-League.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned forward Jon Leuer to the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League, according to the team's website.

Leuer is averaging 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14 games off the bench for the Cavaliers this season. Leuer had his best game of the season in a 106-96 loss to to the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 7 when he recorded seven points and four rebounds in just under 22 minutes.

Leuer is averaging 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 51 games over the last two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and Cavaliers.

Leuer is eligible to participate in Canton's next game on Dec. 8 against the Springfield Armor.

The Cavaliers have lost three games in a row and seven of their last eight to fall to 4-15 this season. Recently, Cleveland has been playing without starting guards Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters as they are recovering from injuries.

Cleveland will play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
