Cavs vs. Timberwolves: Cleveland shooting 30 percent, trails 44-37 at half

The Cleveland Cavaliers trail the Minnesota Timberwolves 44-37 at halftime after shooting just 30 percent in the first half of Friday's game.

The Cleveland defense has helped keep the score close, limiting Minnesota to just 39 percent shooting. Kevin Love, however, has been dominant, scoring 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting in the half. He also has six rebounds. Luke Ridnour has six points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Cavs have also stayed in the game thanks to 3-point shooting. Cleveland shot 5-for-14 from 3-point range in the first half (36 percent) while the Timberwolves were just 1-for-9 from three.

Alonzo Gee leads Cleveland with eight points. C.J. Miles has scored six points off the bench and Daniel Gibson and Omri Casspi have five points each.

Cleveland is playing without injured starting guards Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters. The Cavs have lost three straight and are 4-15 on the season. Minnesota is looking to improve to .500 with a win.
