NBA Trade Rumors: Cavaliers Discussions With Lakers For Ramon Sessions Involved Jonny Flynn Landing In Cleveland

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers continue discussions for point guard Ramon Sessions - talks that the Lakers have reportedly amped up as the deadline approaches. Marc Stein of ESPN dropped a rumor this afternoon that one deal involving Sessions and the Lakers had point guard Jonny Flynn landing in Cleveland, via a three team swap that including the Houston Rockets.

Via Marc Stein of ESPN:

The source said that the Lakers, in that proposal, would have received Sessions from Cleveland and future considerations from Houston, with the Rockets receiving one of the Lakers' two 2012 first-rounders and the Cavaliers landing Houston guard Jonny Flynn to back up Kyrie Irving at the point.

Thankfully for Cavalier fans, that deal is dead at the moment. Most reports indicate the Cavs asking price for Sessions is a first round pick, and they are fine moving on with him on the roster if teams are not willing to include that in a deal. After being drafted sixth overall, Flynn has been a bust thus far in the NBA, and is already on his second team in Houston. Despite this specific deal no longer on the table, Stein did reiterate that Sessions is at the top of the Lakers' trade wish list right now.
