NBA Trade Rumors: Cavs Still Discussing Ramon Sessions Trade With Los Angeles Lakers, Antawn Jamison Trade With New Orleans Hornets

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to discuss a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for point guard Ramon Sessions. Reports on Tuesday indicated that the Cavs are interested in acquiring Jonny Flynn from Houston in a potential Sessions deal with the Lakers. Chris Broussard reported on Wednesday that the Cavs, however, are still holding the line and will not Trade sessions unless they get a first round pick in return.

The Los Angeles Lakers are also in discussions with Houston and Cleveland about a three-team deal that would send Ramon Sessions to the Lakers, Jonny Flynn to Cleveland and a Lakers first-round draft pick to Houston. Cleveland, however, is unwilling to do the deal unless it gets a first-round pick for Sessions. If the Cavaliers trade Sessions, they are likely to make a deal for Flynn.

Broussard also reports that the Cavaliers are still discussing a deal involving Antawn Jamison being sent to New Orleans for Emeka Okafor and his hefty contract. Broussard indicated that the Hornets would also add Minnesota's first-round pick in that deal. Jamison's deal is set to expire this season, which would make him a valuable asset for the Hornets.
