Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Cavaliers' losing streak to the Atlanta Hawks was extended to seven games on Wednesday night when the Hawks hit a bucket at the buzzer of regulation to force overtime and went on to win by a point in overtime, 103-102.

With the Cavaliers leading by three with five seconds remaining, Joe Johnson hit a triple with no time remaining to force an overtime period. In overtime, Cleveland again built a lead, 101-95, but the Hawks again came all the way back. With 18 seconds remaining, Johnson did it again with a fadeaway to give the Hawks a one-point lead. Kyrie Irving and Alonzo Gee failed to win it on the Cavs' final possession.

Irving finished with 29 points and a rebound and assist away from a triple-double. Josh Smith had 32 points and 17 rebounds for the Hawks.
