Cavaliers Vs. Pistons Final Score: Cleveland Loses Fifth Straight, 87-75

The Cleveland Cavaliers have now lost five straight, falling to the Detroit Pistons for the first time this season, 87-75. The Cavs were never really in it Wednesday night and are now only a game 'behind' Detroit in the lottery standings.

The Cavaliers shot a mere 35-percent for the game, turned the ball over 15 times and had 11 of their shots blocked (a season high for the Pistons). Rookie Kyrie Irving did his best to lead a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the rest of the Cavs could not hit their shots. Irving finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists to go along with five first half turnovers.

The Pistons were led by Tayshaun Prince, who tied his season high with 29 points. Irving's rookie counterpart Brandon Knight had a pretty good game, too, scoring 16 points and assisting on five baskets.

Cleveland returns to action again on Friday vs. the Bucks.

Cavaliers Vs. Pistons Score Update: Cleveland Still Struggling, Trail Detroit At Half By 5

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to avoid their fifth straight loss and have a pretty good slump-busting opponent in town to do that in the Detroit Pistons, who the Cavs have beaten in both prior match ups this season. Unfortunately, they can't seem to get it going despite the Pistons missing two of its more prominent scorers and they trail at the half, 49-44.

Cleveland is shooting just 38-percent and have turned the ball over nine times through 24 minutes. Kyrie Irving has five of those turnovers, although he has a team-high 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Tayshaun Prince scored 13 of his 18 points in the second quarter in which the Pistons outscored the Cavs 28-21. He leads all scorers with 18 points and hit all three of his triples.

The Pistons lost Rodney Stuckey in the first quarter with a sore left hamstring and he will not return.
