D.J. Kennedy Signed By Cleveland Cavaliers To Replace Lester Hudson

The Cleveland Cavaliers decided not to re-sign Lester Hudson on Wednesday after his second 10-day contract expired; to fill his void on the roster the team went out and picked up guard D.J. Kennedy from the NBA Development League.

Kennedy was signed from the Erie BayHawks. In 44 starts with the BayHawks, Kennedy averaged almost 16 points, just over seven rebounds and nearly four and a half assists per game in roughly 37 minutes. He had eight double-doubles and scored in double figures 39 times.

Kennedy is the 58th player call up from the NBA D-League this season and is one of more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience.

Kennedy is expected to join the Cavaliers Saturday and be active for Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
