Cavaliers Vs. Grizzlies Final Score: Cleveland Loses In Memphis, 109-101

The Cleveland Cavaliers took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the playoff bound Memphis Grizzlies pulled away late for a 109-101 win on Monday night.

The Cavaliers hit 11 three-pointers in the game, but the Grizzlies' 12 extra freebies from the charity stripe proved to be the biggest difference maker in the Cavs' eight-point loss.

Rookie of the Year candidate Kyrie Irving finished with just 25 points after taking 19 points into the second half. Veteran Antawn Jamison added 19 points and nine rebounds.

The Grizzlies had six players in double figures and former Cavalier Lester Hudson scored nine points in the Grizzlies' big second quarter.

The Cavaliers will play the penultimate game on their schedule on Wednesday against the Wizards before finishing the season on Thursday in Chicago.

Cavaliers Vs. Grizzlies Score Update: Kyrie Irving Has 19 Points For Cleveland At Half

The Cleveland Cavaliers are hanging in there against the playoff bound Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, trailing by just three at the half, 55-52.

A big reason why the Cavs are capable of hanging with the Western Conference's potential No. 4 seed is the Rookie of the Year candidate, Kyrie Irving, who has 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting. Antawn Jamison has added 12 points and six rebounds.

The Cavs had a six-point lead going into the second quarter, but the Grizzlies outscored Cleveland 29-20 in the second quarter behind the play of Marreese Speights and recent Cavalier Lester Hudson. Speights has 15 points at the break and Hudson has nine off the bench, all coming in that second quarter.
