NBA Summer League 2012: Cavs Take Down D-League Select Team, 94-88

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up their first Summer League victory on Monday night, as rookie forward Tyler Zeller poured in 19 points to lead his team to a 94-88 win over the D-League Select Team.

Zeller and teammate Donald Sloan each tallied 19 points for the Cavs, while No. 5 overall pick Dion Waiters once again struggled with his shot in the win. Waiters finished 4-for-14 from the field to pull his Summer League shooting percentage down to 28%. And although he did manage to chip in 11 points, he was quite tentative from the perimter and only attempted one shot (a miss) from three-point range.

Undrafted Cavs rookie T.J. Campbell also made a bit of noise off the bench with 11 points in just 19 minutes. The 5-foot-9 rookie from Portland is hopeful that he can continue to impress coaches with his scoring ability this summer and possibly land a roster spot.

Next up for the Cavs is a Tuesday date with the Phoenix Suns at Las Vegas' Thomas and Mack Center.
