Indians Defeat Dodgers In A Pitchers' Duel, 2-1

Stay connected for news and updates

Ah, spring training, where names we may not be all that familiar with can step to the forefront. Sometimes those names become better known later, and sometimes they fade away.

Today, against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Tribe prevailed, winning their second straight Cactus League game, 2-1. with the win going to Kelvin De La Cruz and the save to Zach McAllister.

Oddly, De La Cruz gave up the only L.A. run, in the seventh inning, but the Indians answered in their half of the seventh to regain the lead, and McAllister made it stand up with a two-inning save.

Austin Kearns led all players on both teams with two hits for Cleveland, while Orlando Cabrera had the only RBI for the Indians.

The Indians take on Oakland tomorrow afternoon as the slow countdown toward Opening Day continues
