The Indians play their first game of the exhibition season against a team from the American League this afternoon when they take on the Oakland A’s in Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
The Indians have won two straight after opening with a loss to Cincinnati, prevailing yesterday over the L.A. Dodgers, 2-1, at Goodyear Ballpark.
Oakland is 1-2 so far this spring, but the offense has been no problem. The Athletics have plated 28 runs so far in three games. On the down side, the Oakland staff has allowed 22 runs.
