Tribe Takes On Padres As Pitching Hopes To Recover

After bleeding an orgy of runs in the last two days, the Indians will try to get back on track this afternoon at 3:05 against the San Diego Padres.

Fausto Carmona did not fare too well yesterday, and in general the pitching has been bad at the beginning of this week as the Indians have now fallen to 4-6 in games that do not count. It would be helpful to get the pitching straightened out before the games do begin to count, in a little more than three weeks.

Carlos Carrasco will take the hill for The Good Guys this afternoon, and here are the rest of today’s starting lineups —

San Diego will trot out:

1) Cameron Maybin® CF
2) Eric Patterson (L) 2B
3) Chase Headley (S) 3B
4) Jesus Guzman® DH
5) Aaron Cunningham® RF
6) Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
7) Kyle Phillips (L) C
8) Everth Cabrera (S) SS
9) Luis Durango (S) LF

While the Indians counter with:

1) Ezequiel Carrera (L) CF
2) Jayson Nix® 2B
3) Shin-Soo Choo (L) DH
4) Carlos Santana (S) 1B
5) Travis Buck (L) RF
6) Nick Weglarz (L) LF
7) Luke Carlin (S) C
8) Luis Valbuena (L) 3B
9) Adam Everett® SS
