Shin-Soo Choo Apologizes To Teammates After DUI Arrest

Shin-Soo Choo became the second member of the Celveland Indians to be arrested for a DUI early on Monday morning, with Austin Kearns being the other. According to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com, Choo met with his teammates before Tuesday's game to apologize for his actions, in the opes that they could help put the whole event behind them.

"I want to apologize to my family and my teammates," Choo told reporters, "and to the fans and to the Indians organization. I regret that this happened."

Indians manager Manny Acta downplayed the incident, pointing out that it is a problem that many people experience that don't have the exposure of someone like a professional athlete.

"It's a universal issue," Acta said. "We're talking today about this because it's a player -- a Major League player from the Cleveland Indians. I'm sure that about 100 other people have those issues, but you guys don't care about them, or you don't have anything interesting to write about them."

To be fair, Manny, we're talking about it because we're all paid to cover the Indians, but that's besides the point. Acta also said that the Indians will not be reviewing their policies about player behavior, expecting the players to do a better job policing themselves.
