The Cleveland Indians hope to rebound from Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners in the series finale Thursday at SafeCo Field at 10:10 p.m. ET.
The teams split the first two games of the series, with the Indians prevailing, 9-8, in the opening game, and the Mariners pulling out the win on Wednesday night. Prior to Wednesday's loss, the Indians had won four consecutive games to open their nine-game road trip. In those four games, Cleveland scored 41 runs.
Josh Tomlin (0-1, 8.31 ERA) is on the mound for Cleveland, while Felix Hernandez (1-1, 3.80 ERA) will make his fourth start of the season. Hernandez's first three starts came against the Oakland Athletics.
After Thursday night's game, the Indians will travel to Oakland for a three-game set with the Athletics to complete their nine-game road swing.
