Indians Vs. Red Sox: Starting Lineups For Friday Night

Coming off of an 8-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night, the American League Central leading Cleveland Indians (18-13) followed up the disappointing performance by putting up an eight-spot of their own on Thursday night against the Boston Red Sox, beating the team 8-3.

The Red Sox (12-19) will come into Friday night looking to snap a three-game losing streak and will try to make headway on climbing out of the cellar of the American League East.

Here are the projected starting lineups:

Cleveland

1. Johnny Damon, Left Field

2. Jason Kipnis, Second Base

3. Asdrubal Cabrera, Short Stop

4. Travis Hafner, Designated Hitter

5. Carlos Santana, Catcher

6. Shin-Soo Choo, Right Field

7. Michael Brantley, Center Field

8. Casey Kotchman, First Base

9. Jack Hannahan, Third Base

Starting Pitcher: Ubaldo Jimenez; 3-2, 4.04 ERA

Boston

1. Ryan Sweeney, Center Field

2. Dustin Pedroia, Second Base

3. David Ortiz, Designated Hitter

4. Adrian Gonzalez, First Base

5. Will Middlebrooks, Third Base

6. Daniel Nava, Left Field

7. Cody Ross, Right Field

8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Catcher

9. Nick Punto, Short Stop

Starting Pitcher: Clay Buchholz; 3-1, 9.09 ERA
