Indians Vs. Mariners Final Score: First-Place Cleveland Rallies For 11th Inning Victory

It took three walks and a wild pitch to get the job done, but the Cleveland Indians snuck past Seattle on Thursday in extra innings to record their fourth consecutive victory.

Seattle closer Brandon League entered the game in the bottom of the 11th eying a save after a Michael Saunders double gave the Mariners a one-run advantage in the top half of the inning. League then proceeded to walk three of the first five batters he faced, and was eventually beaten by a Carlos Santana game-winning single to center that plated infielder Jason Kipnis to cap off Cleveland's surprise win.

Looking to stretch the win streak to five, next up for the Indians is a weekend homestand with the National League's Miami Marlins. Cleveland will send strikeout artist Justin Masterson to the hill to square off with hot-and-cold Marlins starter Carlos Zambrano for Friday's opener.
