When the Indians called up catcher Luke Carlin, they were looking for a healthy back stop to keep the seat warm for CArlos Santana ’s return. Little did they know, they got a speedster in the process. Carlin stole second base to put himself in scoring position with two outs, and was then followed by a Shin-Soo Choo RBI base hit for Indians
The Royal’s Mike Moustakas responded with a two out hit of his own to make it 3-1 Indians in the top of the third at the matinee game at Progressive Field.
