We have a Grady Sizemore (60-day DL) sighting. Threw long toss and did some running/agility work pregame at Progressive Field.— Jordan Bastian (@MLBastian) May 8, 2012
Watching Grady Sizemore run sprints in the outfield. #Indians— paul hoynes (@hoynsie) May 8, 2012
Sizemore was placed on the 60-day disabled list at the start of the season after he missed all of spring training recovering from back surgery. The earliest he could return to the team is June 3rd, assuming he suffers no setbacks in his rehab.
Indians manager Manny Acta told the Akron Beacon Journal that he expects Sizemore to be taking batting practice by next week.
Seeing him throw long toss and get active in running a month before his potential return can only be good signs for Indians fans that want to see Sizemore back in action.
