The Cleveland Indians struck first in this series against the Pittsburgh Pirates with a win on Friday, and they look to solidify a series victory with another win Saturday.
Both the Pirates and Indians are much improved ball clubs this season, making the interleague matchup more exciting than it would have been in previous years. The Indians (33-30) are in second place in the American League Central Division, while the Pirates (32-31) are second in the National League Central Division, respectively.
Pittsburgh, however, is on a four-game losing streak.
In the pitching matchups, Ubaldo Jimenez (6-4, 4.91 ERA) will take the mound for the Tribe, while A.J. Burnett (6-2, 3.61 ERA) gets the start for the Pirates.
