Indians Vs. Pirates Final Score: Cleveland Loses To Pittsburgh, 9-2

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Indians fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday in their second contest of a three-game weekend interleague series. Cleveland had just defeated Pittsburgh on Friday, and now the two teams will battle it out to for series bragging rights Sunday in the rubber match.

There were five long balls in this game, so it was certainly a thrilling experience for the fans in attendance. Unfortunately for Indians fans, the Pirates got the better of the mini-home run derby. There were three blasts from Pittsburgh; Pedro Alvarez in the second inning, Casey McGehee in the sixth and Alex Presley's deep to right field in the seventh inning.

Asdrubal Cabrera got everything started with a homer deep to right field in the first inning, and Casey Kotchman sent some over the right field fence as well.
