Grady Sizemore Injury: Indians Outfielder Slows Down In Rehab

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Indians took a big risk when they re-signed Grady Sizemore prior to the beginning of the season, and it came back to bite them when they were forced to place him on the 60-day disabled list. Many hoped that Sizemore would be able to return at the end of that period, and there was even some good signs in his rehab at the beginning of May.

Sizemore has been doing some throwing and running before games here and there, but now it looks like he might be injured for longer than previously thought. According to Jordan Bastian on Twitter, trainers have been saying that Sizemore has slowed down in his rehab and that he has backed off of running activities in the last couple weeks.

This is par the course for Sizemore, who has had five different surgeries over the last three years. Still, one of the trainers does believe that Sizemore has more to offer the team, even in 2012:

Either way, it's certainly up for debate at this point, but with no timetable, it's anybody's guess as to when Sizemore will be back out there for The Tribe.
