Indians Vs. Blue Jays Score Update: Cleveland Jumps All Over Tribe With Eight In The Third

Toronto scored two runs in the home half of the first inning Saturday and followed that up with an eight-run explosion in the third to take a commanding 10-2 lead over Cleveland after three completed innings.

After the Blue Jays got two in the first, the Indians came right back in the top of the second, pushing across a pair of runs to tie the game at two. But Toronto slugging first-baseman Edwin Encarnacion unloaded with a two-run shot in the bottom of the third with Jose Bautista on base to put the Jays back out in front 4-2, and Toronto came up with six more runs in that inning, chasing Indians' starter Ubaldo Jimenez from the game.

It was Encarnacion's 24th dinger of the year. Shortstop Yunel Escobar also hit a four-bagger in the inning with a man aboard, his sixth of the season

Scott Barnes came on in the third in relief of Jimenez for Cleveland. Jimenez was charged with all eight Blue Jays' runs, all earned, in two and one-third innings. He walked four batters, striking out two.

Laffey has given up three Cleveland hits through the first three innings, has struck out three and issued one base on balls.

The Indians are looking for their second win in the series after shutting out the Jays 1-0 Friday night behind starter Justin Masterson's brilliant five-hitter and a solo home run by Travis Haffner that produced all the scoring.
