Jimenez allowed eight runs, including six in the third thanks to two-run homers from Edwin Encarnacion and Yunel Escobar, before being yanked during that disastrous third inning. The Indians' Michael Brantley and Casey Kotchman each hit two-run homers in the eighth, but it was too little, too late.
Lowe (8-6, 4.43 ERA), meanwhile, is 0-4 in his last eight road starts with a bloated 8.88 ERA during that stretch. He'll have a tough task at hand to try to improve on his road struggles against a powerful Blue Jays lineup.
The Blue Jays will send Carlos Villanueva, a converted reliever who's making his third start of 2012, to the mound at the Rogers Centre. He pitched six shutout innings in his last start against Kansas City with seven strikeouts.
First pitch from Toronto's Rogers Centre is scheduled for 1:07 pm ET. The game will be televised on WKYC 3 and STO in the Cleveland area.
