J.C. Romero has been dealt by the Indians to the Orioles in exchange for a minor league infielder.

The Cleveland Indians have dealt lefthanded reliever J.C. Romero to the Baltimore Orioles, as reported by Roch Kubatko of MASN.com.

Romero, 36, has spent time all over the place this season - first, with the St. Louis Cardinals before being released on May 14th. He was then picked up by the Orioles and sent to Triple-A Norfolk, but opted out of his deal on July 10th and signed with the Indians 11 days later, only to be stuck pitching for Triple-A Columbus. Now, he'll be making his way back to Baltimore, with the assurance of a bullpen spot this time around.

Romero posted a 10.13 ERA in 11 games (eight innings) for the Cardinals, but was much better during his two Triple-A stints, putting up a 2.74 ERA in 23 innings pitched.

The Indians will be receiving a yet-to-be-named minor league infielder in exchange for Romero. They did right to deal him, as he could have opted out of his minor league contract on Wednesday, according to Paul Hoynes.
