Indians Vs. A's Final Score: Tribe Blanked At Home

The Oakland A's scored twice in the second inning and did not look back, beating the Cleveland Indians 7-0 Tuesday night in Cleveland.

Tommy Milone started the game for the A's and gave up seven hits, but scattered them effectively over his six innings of work, striking out five Indians and not allowing any runs.

The Indians had their chances to get back into the game but could not convert, going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and leaving nine total runners on base. Catcher Carlos Santana was the only Cleveland player with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a pair of singles.

Brent Lillibridge and Shin-Soo Choo each committed an error in the loss.

Cleveland starter Zach McAllister lasted only 4.1 innings, giving up five earned runs on nine hits and three walks although he struck out eight. The bullpen kept the A's in check until the ninth when Joe Smith gave up two runs on two hits and a wild pitch.

For Oakland, Brandon Moss hit a three-run home run off McAllister and went 2-for-5. First baseman Chris Carter was a triple short of hitting for the cycle as he went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

The Indians are now 55-74 and have not scored in their last 22 consecutive innings. Cleveland has lost 12 of its last 13 games. The four-game series continues tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. ET from Progressive Field.
