Comerica Park will host the Tigers and Indians in a three-game series over the weekend.

Games between the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox will continue to get more and more important as the season continues to edge toward October; the three teams are currently in a wide open race for the top of the AL Central. Unfortunately, the Indians seem to be slipping out of reach of that spot following yet another badly timed slump that has seen them lose their last six games and get pushed five behind the Tigers to third place in the division.

Cleveland will have a shot to make up at least a couple of those games as they face the Tigers for three games at Comerica Park starting on Friday. Detroit has had problems with the Indians so far this season, with only two wins out of their nine games. Cleveland's recent struggles should give the Tigers more confidence than earlier in the season, though, when the Indians had been atop the Central for a long stretch.

Justin Masterson (7-9, 4.47 ERA) will take the mound for Cleveland in game one of the series, facing off against Anibal Sanchez (5-8, 4.11 ERA) of the Tigers.

This three-game set will be the last time that the two teams get to play each other until September, when they face off for their second to last series of the year.

The game will be at Comerica Park at 7:05 p.m. ET.
