The Cleveland Indians look to rebound against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night, in the second game of a three-game series against the two-time defending American League champions.
On Tuesday night, Adrian Beltre led the Rangers past the Cleveland, belting his 31st homer of the season, in a 6-4 Rangers win.
Now on Wednesday, Jeanmar Gomez is tasked with quieting Texas' bats, as the Indians look to even the series at a game a piece.
Gomez is 5-7 on the season through 82 and 2/3 innings. Gomez carries a 5.33 ERA and 1.37 WHIP into the contest, and has limited opponents to a .261 average against. Gomez beat the Rangers back on Sept. 1, pitching five and 2/3 innings and giving up three runs on four hits.
