The Cleveland Indians continue their role as spoiler in the AL Central when they complete a three-game series against the division-leading Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
The Tribe can win the series outright after the teams split the first two games following Cleveland's 4-3 win on Tuesday afternoon. The White Sox remain in a battle for the top spot in the AL Central against the Detroit Tigers.
The Indians expect to start right-hander Justin Masterson (11-15) on the mound against the White Sox. Masterson will try to snap a streak of three consecutive losses in his last three starts.
The White Sox are scheduled to start left-hander Hector Santiago (3-1), who will come out of the bullpen to make his third start of the season. Santiago faces the Indians with a 3.45 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched so far this season.
Wednesday's game starts at 8:10 p.m. ET and will air on SportsTime Ohio.
