Blue Jackets Vs. Kings Final Score: Columbus Out-Shot, But Win 1-0 Anyway

The Columbus Blue Jackets got back in the win column on Saturday, beating the offensively-challenged Los Angeles Kings 1-0. Columbus was out-shot 31-18, but Curtis Sanford stopped all 31 shots fired at him, recording another shutout on the season. Columbus needed only to get past Jonathan Quick once to put the game away, and the goal came via Grant Clitsome halfway through the second period, assisted by David Savard and Derick Brassard.

There were 14 power plays in all, and nobody was able to convert. It wasn't due to particularly good penalty units - not by a long shot. The goalies were just very good in this game, and the offenses ... not so good. Either way, Columbus got the win and snapped a two-game losing streak.

Next, the Blue Jackets will take on the Anaheim Ducks to wrap up their time in California.
