Blue Jackets Vs. Blues Final Score: Late Game Winning Goal Puts Columbus On Top 2-1

The Columbus Blue Jackets and the St. Louis Blues were all tied up 1-1 after the first quarter. David Backes struck first for the Blues on a short-handed goal putting St. Louis up 1-0 over Columbus early on. Late in the first period the Blue Jackets tied it up however on a James Wisniewski power play goal, assisted by Mark Letestu and Jeff Carter.

The game remained tied through the second period with neither team getting the puck in the net, but the Blue Jackets finally got a puck through and into the net. Derek Dorsett broke the tie in the Jackets favor with his tenth goal of the season, assisted by Samuel Pahlsson and Antoine Vermette. The Jackets shot the puck at the net just one more time than the Blues, but they also got it in one more time sealing the win.
