Recovering from a controversial loss on Wednesday night in which the Blue Jackets were the victims of a clock malfunction with less than a second to go, Columbus rebounded on Friday night with an OT win over the Anaheim Ducks, 3-2.
Columbus trailed 2-1 heading into the third period, but found themselves on the power play early and taking advantage of that -- Jeff Carter scored just a couple minutes in on a backhander, assisted on by Antoine Vermette and Vinny Prospal.
After over 20 minutes of scoreless, tied hockey, Derick Brassard scored 3:55 into overtime on an unassisted slapshot that got by Jonas Hiller, who only saved 18-of-21 shots.
Curtis Sanford stopped 33-of -35 shots for the Blue Jackets, who snapped their eight-game road losing streak.
Columbus doesn't play again until Tuesday when they take on the Minnesota Wild.
