Blue Jackets Vs. Ducks Final Score: Derick Brassard's OT Goal Give Columbus 3-2 Win

Recovering from a controversial loss on Wednesday night in which the Blue Jackets were the victims of a clock malfunction with less than a second to go, Columbus rebounded on Friday night with an OT win over the Anaheim Ducks, 3-2.

Columbus trailed 2-1 heading into the third period, but found themselves on the power play early and taking advantage of that -- Jeff Carter scored just a couple minutes in on a backhander, assisted on by Antoine Vermette and Vinny Prospal.

After over 20 minutes of scoreless, tied hockey, Derick Brassard scored 3:55 into overtime on an unassisted slapshot that got by Jonas Hiller, who only saved 18-of-21 shots.

Curtis Sanford stopped 33-of -35 shots for the Blue Jackets, who snapped their eight-game road losing streak.

Columbus doesn't play again until Tuesday when they take on the Minnesota Wild.

Blue Jackets Vs. Ducks: Columbus Look To Put Controversial Kings Game Behind Them As They Face Anaheim

It'll probably be easier if the Columbus Blue Jackets just try to outright forget what happened against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. A clock delay with a second left gave the Kings an extra second to play which they used to their advantage, netting the game winner with only four tenths remaining. Of course, the Blue Jackets can't rightly complain too much as their season has been lost for quite some time, Kings victory or not.

The Jackets travel to LA's close cousin the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night looking to sap a rare win on the road out of a Ducks team who have won six out of their last seven games at home. That one loss was a bad one, a 6-2 crushing by the Dallas Stars, but the Ducks are still a solid home team and have been hotter than some teams lately as they've tried to push their way up to a playoff spot.

Columbus on the other hand are ice cold in all regards with seven straight losses on the road to go with 17 out of 21 of their last games ending in the L column.

The game will be at Honda Center in Anaheim at 10:00 PM ET.
