Blue Jackets face challenge against Pacific Division leader.
The Columbus Blue Jackets remain on the road when they visit the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night.
The Blue Jackets arrive in Phoenix after an impressive 2-0 win at the Colorado Avalanche as goaltender Steve Mason shut out the Avs. Mason will have to be equally impressive in Phoenix against the Pacific Division leading Coyotes.
Phoenix is 8-1-1 in their last ten games but face Columbus coming off of a 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. The Coyotes offensive attack is led by right winger Radim Vrbata (30 goals) and left winger Ray Whitney (39 assists).
Columbus will need to generate some goals regardless of how well Mason plays in goal. This is no easy task considering Phoenix comes into the game ranked seventh in the NHL in goals against.
