The Ohio St. Buckeyes may have had the week off, but they did not make any headway in returning the AP or the Coaches College football top 25. Several teams on their remaining schedule did make an appearance, with the Wisconsin Badgers falling to to No. 12 in the AP and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll. The Penn St. Nittany Lions were near the bottom of the poll at No. 21. The moved up after the Illinois Fighting Illini dropped out with their loss to the Purdue Boilermakers.
