The Buckeyes found their offense after stopping the Boilermakers on third-and-six to start the second quarter. All it took was a couple holes in the Purdue defense.
A 20 yard pass from Braxton Miller to Dan Herron gave the Buckeyes their first first down of the game and the football in Purdue territory. A few plays later, from the 38 yard line, Miller hit Jordan Hall, who took it to the house for a touchdown to make it 10-7.
After a couple punts for both teams, the Boilermakers drove down the field with ease on the Buckeyes' defense. Ralph Bolden capped a 13-play drive with a seven yard touchdown to put the Boilermakers back up by 10 with a little over three minutes left in the half.
OSU had a chance to add three at the end of the half, but Drew Basil missed a 50 yard try.
OSU was out-gained 247 yards to 81 in the first half.
