Ohio State Vs. Penn State Final Score: Buckeyes Lose 20-14

The Ohio State Buckeyes started to bring things back against the Penn State Nittany Lions, but ultimately fell short through a scoreless second half, and they were handed a 20-14 loss, their fifth loss of the season. Penn State jumped to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, and picked up ten more in the second. Ohio State was able to outscore them in the second, putting up two touchdowns, but that was where it ended. Ohio State squandered multiple opportunities, with two big fumbles in the third quarter

Ohio State had a very solid opportunity to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, set up with a 4th and 5 at the Penn State 36 yard-line, but J.B. Shugarts was called for a false start and they moved back to 4th and 10. Braxton Miller dropped back, and ended up scrambling, looking for the ten yards, but was only able to get nine. Penn State would go on to kill most of the clock, and Ohio State finished the game trying to pass from a 4th and 17 back at their own 28-yard line. It went incomplete, and they were handed the loss.

It was definitely a close game, with both teams putting up similar offense stats. Miller threw for just 83 yards with a touchdown, while Penn State's Matthew McGloin had just 88 yards with no touchdowns, and an interception. Penn State was able to put up 239 total yards rushing against Ohio States 206. Ohio State also out-gained them in kick return yardage. Without the two lost fumbles, they might have been able to win the game.

The Buckeyes will next take on the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, Nov. 26.
