Indiana Vs. Ohio State Preview: A Trap Game For The Buckeyes

After playing four straight ranked opponents it would be easy for Ohio State to overlook this weekend's game against the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana's only win this season came over FCS South Carolina State and they have losses to ball State and North Texas. The Hoosiers have one of the worst rushing defenses in the country, and gave up over 400 total yards in the first half against Northwestern last week.

That said, Ohio State cannot afford to overlook a team that has a dangerous offense behind true freshman Tre Roberson:

Kevin Wilson's no-huddle, multiple offense has not quite revved up to the level his Oklahoma machines did, but Indiana has moved the ball well against most teams they've played. Against Iowa two weekends ago, they ran 71 plays for 414 yards, or 5.8 yards per play.  Last weekend, the Hoosiers gained 488 yards on 71 plays against Northwestern, an impressive 6.5 yards per play.

The Hoosiers have had a few impressive performances on offense this year, scoring 31 points on Virginia (who just scored only 28 against former OSU opponent Miami) and 38 last week against Northwestern. Unfortunately, the run defense ranks 117th in the nation and gives up almost 250 yards per game on the ground. That should allow plenty of room for Braxton Miller and Dan Herron to run.
