Ohio State Vs. Kansas Final Score: Buckeyes Miss Jared Sullinger, Lose 78-67

Stay connected for news and updates

The Ohio State Buckeyes suffered an upset on Saturday, when the No. 13 Kansas Jayhawks upset the No. 2 team in the nation, winning 78-67. The Buckeyes fall to 8-1 on the season, losing its first game away. Kansas moves to 7-2 on the season with the victory, and a shakeup in the top five of the AP Poll is expected. Deshaun Thomas did do well for Ohio State, with 19 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal. He shot 50% on the day.

Thomas Robinson did just a bit better though, with 21 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a steal, and it was good enough to lead the Jayhawks to the upset win.

Ohio State was without its best player, Jared Sullinger, who missed this game and the last with back spasms. It was clear that he was missed, as Evan Ravenel was unable to perform filling in for him, shooting 2-for-7 and not attempting any three pointers. He did make five of six free throws, but it's a far cry from the 11 points he scored against Texas Pan-American when Sullinger missed his last game.
