March Madness Scores: Morehead State Shocks Louisville 62-61

It didn't take long for the first huge upset of the NCAA Tournament. The (13) Morehead State Eagles, led by Kenneth Faried toppled Rick Pitino's (4) Louisville Cardinals. Faried, the NCAA's all-time rebounding leader, had 12 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Eagles to the shocking second round victory.

Morehead State led for much of the first half before Louisville, led by Chris Smith, came roaring back to tie it at halftime. The game remained close for all of the second half, as the underdog Eagles played Louisville tough all afternoon. Morehead State was relentless on the glass. Faried had 17 rebounds and Terrance Hill added 8 of his own to go along with his game-leading 23 points. Overall, the Eagles outrebounded Louisville 36-27 including 14-6 on the offensive glass.

The Cardinals led by 2 with ten seconds remaining. Morehead State's Demonte Harper then hit a 3 pointer with 4.2 seconds left to take the lead. Kenneth Faried then blocked Louisville's buzzer beater attempt to clinched the upset. The first big shocker hopefully marks the first of many as March Madness is now in full swing.
