March Madness Scores: Temple Sneaks Past Penn St. At Buzzer, 66-64

The battle between the Temple Owls and Penn St. Nittany Lions could be boiled down to Talor Battle versus Juan Fernandez. The final minute came down to those two players.

PSU trailed by three points, that is until Battle tied the game with a deep 3-pointer. The game did not remain tied for long. On the ensuing play, Juan Fernandez took matters into his own hands and hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Fernandez and Battle each scored 23 points, but it was Fernandez that got the last laugh as the Owls edged the Nittany Lions. Temple fought back from a 9 point deficit thanks to Fernandez and another 23 point effort from Ramone Moore. Tim Frazier and David Jackson chipped in 15 and 14 points respectively.

Temple had lost its first game in the past three years. This year they will be moving on to the face the winner of the game between San Diego St. and Northern Colorado.
