NCAA Bracket Update: Michigan Basketball Leads Tennessee 33-29 At Halftime

The Michigan Wolverines have jumped out to a 33-29 halftime lead over the Tennessee Volunteers in their NCAA Tournament game in Charlotte, NC. The Wolverines trailed the Volunteers 23-17 with six minutes to go in the first half before exploding on a 16-6 run to end the half.

Tennessee forward Tobias Harris has been unstoppable, scoring 19 points on 6-6 shooting. Harris is also 7-7 from the free throw line. The rest of the Volunteers, however, have shot just 3-14 from the field.

Michigan has enjoyed balanced scoring from guard Darius Morris with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, Zack Novak with 5 points and Matt Vogrich off this bench with 9 points. The Wolverines shot 41.7% in the first half.

Michigan is out-rebounding Tennessee on the glass 19-13 and has committed just four turnovers compared to 8 for Tennessee. Tennessee has enjoyed a huge advantage at the free throw line, however, going 10-12 from the line while Michigan has attempted just one free throw.
