Ohio State is fortunate to be trailing the Miami Hurricanes by only 17-6 at the half tonight in Florida.
Jacory Harris tossed two 3-yard TD passes to Allen Hurns in the opening quarter, then things settled down a bit and the Buckeyes kicked two second quarter field goals to trim a 14-point deficit to 11 going into the locker room.
The Buckeyes are 1-for-10 in the passing game for 4 net yards, but the OSU ground game has accounted for 127 yards, with Jordan Hall leading the way with 83 yards on 13 carries.
The Hurricanes have had a more balanced offense. Harris has hit 8-of-13 for 66 yards, and Miami has 150 yards rushing.
Harris has thrown two interceptions to go with his two TD passes, while Braxton Miller has a pick for the Buckeyes.
Miami has the lead in first downs at 10-9, but as said earlier, OSU is fortunate to be in the game, as they have gone 1-of-7 on third down as opposed to the Hurricanes’ 6-of-7.
