Ohio State Vs. Florida, 2012 Gator Bowl: Time, Location, History And More

Stay connected for news and updates

The Ohio State Buckeyes will play in their final bowl game for at least a year, as they are guaranteed to miss the postseason in 2012 for the first time since going 6-6 in 1999. Before doing so, however, they face the Florida Gators in Tuesday's TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. Both teams come in with disappointing 6-6 records, and incoming coach Urban Meyer is the main topic of discussion.

The Buckeyes are awaiting Meyer to take over a program that struggled mightily due to NCAA suspensions and the loss of Jim Tressel as head coach. Today's 1 p.m. game on ESPN will see the Buckeyes try to avoid finishing the season on a four game losing streak, something that has not happened since 1943. The Buckeyes are also trying to avoid their first losing season since 1988.
