After losing to Indiana on Saturday, the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes (14-2), still heavily favored to win the Big Ten, were reeling and in serious need of a rebound game. The Nebraska Cornhuskers were exactly what the Buckeyes were looking for on Tuesday night at Value City Arena in Columbus.
Ohio State dominated the Cornhuskers from tip off, jumping out to a 15-4 lead just eight minutes into the game and outscoring Nebraska overall 44-20 in the first half. The Buckeyes only scored 27 in the second half, but it was enough to cruise to a 71-40 win in front of their home crowd.
Jared Sullinger was the leader for the Buckeyes, scoring a game-high 19 points (on 8-of-13 shooting) and grabbing 13 rebounds.
The Buckeyes play again on Saturday at Iowa.
