Cincinnati heads into the NCAA Tournament as the No. 6 seeded team in the East region. The Bearcats will face 11th seeded Texas in the first game of the tournament and if they win they'll take on the winner of Florida State and St. Bonaventure.
The East region is full of talented teams including the top seed Syracuse. Syracuse would be a familiar foe for the Bearcats as both teams are in the Big East and the Bearcats are coming off an upset win over the Orange in the Big East semifinals.
The Big 10 co-champion sits as the 2nd seeded team in the East region, while another fellow Big East representative, West Virginia, sits as the 10th seeded team. SEC Tournament champion Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and perennial mid major power Gonzaga are all also seeded in the East region.
