The 2012 Big Ten Tournament bracket has been unveiled on Sunday night after the regular season ended. There were no surprises for the top three seeds since the Michigan St. Spartans, the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio St. Buckeyes knew they were going to be in those spots, respectively, entering the final Sunday of the regular season.
They, along with the Wisconsin Badgers, received byes into the quarterfinals. Ohio State will play the winner of Purdue/Nebraska.
The Indiana Hoosiers beat out the Purdue Boilermakers for the No. 5 spot by defeating them on Sunday. Indiana faces the No. 12 Penn St. Nittany Lions while Purdue faces Big Ten newcomer the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The other opening round matchups are the Iowa Hawkeyes versus the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Northwestern Wildcats versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
All games will take place at Bankers Life Field House, Indianapolis, Ind.
