The Ohio State Buckeyes ascended to the top spot in this week's Associated Press college football poll this week after the Buckeyes 38-10 win over Indiana - coupled with Alabama's 35-21 loss to South Carolina. The Crimson-Tide dropped to 8th in this week's poll.
The rest of the top-5 moved up as well, with Oregon at No. 2, followed by Boise State, TCU and Nebraska. The Buckeyes received 34 first-place votes, while four other teams also received votes for the top spot.
Ohio State's hold on the No. 1 spot will immediately be put to the test with the Buckeyes set to travel to No. 16 Wisconsin next Saturday night.
