After picking up their first victory of the season, the Cleveland Browns finally moved up in the Week 5 SB Nation NFL power rankings, going from No. 30 overall to No. 27 overall. Here’s what writer Joel Thorman had to say about the Browns this week:
↵↵↵The Browns finally get a win. I do think this team is heading in the right direction — little things like special teams are solid — but you can’t go very far without a quarterback. That will be the number one goal in the offseason.
↵
This is the second week in a row that "quarterback" has been mentioned, but it should’ve been the struggles of the secondary that were discussed.
↵Here is how the AFC North teams rank:
↵-Baltimore Ravens (No. 5, up from No. 8)
-Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 6, down from No. 1)
-Cincinnati Bengals (No. 19, down from No. 16)
-Cleveland Browns (No. 27, up from No. 30)
It seems a bit harsh to drop the Steelers five spots after a close game and with Ben Roethlisberger returning, but a division loss often does some damage in the rankings.
